Not much happened except study and assessments. Typical 3rd year uni student. Study eat sleep. And perhaps planning for travel plans? The prospect of leaving Canberra and traveling to one of the most beautiful places in the world with a bunch of friends excites me! In the meantime i shall work hard during this three months as this is the worst semester ever. How i wish i took language subject in the first place. Anyway not looking back now i just wanna graduate this year and go back.

Nerding in the library as usual. Not really i was actually watching youtube la.

I know my face is round but i won't give up on food! Since i'm so indulged in food i might as well post pictures about food.

Long time didn't write blog already. Eveyday working until 8pm, then after go back, very tired.
In this company can learn many things, because of this company is small company, sometime every things need to do myself, from packaging, labelling, issue invoice, and send for customer.

I stay at home most of the time during exam period and it's boring. But i entertain myself with foods.

It was raining this afternoon and guess what? Ices coming down but just for few seconds. The ice was tiny, and it was my first time seeing it.

I tried this korean recipe, it's called skewered pancakes with vegetables and beef. This is a traditional dish in Korea and people make it during new year and special celebrations. It came out quite good. But i overcook the vegetables and it become too soft so the carrot keep falling down from the skewer. And the asparagus and green onion are too soft and lose its crunchy texture.

I'm addicted to korean recipe lately. More korean food picture coming up!

This is avocado appetizer. I got this recipe from the same website though this is not traditional korean dish. I pan-fried sliced avocado coated with batter. Nice!

Avocado has high nutritional value like vitamin E but some people don't like the yucky taste. This recipe is definitely for those people coz it kinda crunchy. I once mashed avocado and put it on my face as mask and my skin become so smooth. Avocado is definitely great!

I usually don't buy ice-cream coz there is no room in the freezer but this Sara Lee's hazelnut flavour ice-cream is so nice! It is usually expensive i got it 50% discount only $3.99 for 1 litre! Nicest ice-cream i've ever tasted!

Made it yesterday! First attempt: ugly and taste yucky! The rice is too soft and the vinegar i put is not enough! Maybe because i just use normal rice but not sushi rice. I took it to uni today and overnight sushi tasted like......the seaweed has already softened coz it absorbed moisture from the rice, so it only taste like cold rice coz avocado dun have much taste.

Anyway, i will try cucumber and tuna filling next! Maybe next week coz now i still can imagine the taste of cold rice yucks!! Tomorrow i'm gonna cook western style soup!

Healthy lunch pack! The fruit is papaya, strawberry and kiwi!!

I baked drumsticks the other day since it's holiday. Marinate it with mixed herbs, garlic powder and salt overnight first. Taste ok la I think the potato taste better haha..And the red veges are carrot and sweet potato. I love cooking sweet potato but it is too expensive here.

I decided to write this after the big serious talk with yee. Haha i learned a lot la talking to you. What i learn here is just theory and applying theory may sounds easy, yet difficult without reallife experience. After staying here one and another eight months i learned a lot, yet so little. I lack motivation to learn beyond what i'm supposed to. Anyway, life have been too kind to me right now. I don't have to do part-time job like all other people. Of course, i am not comparing with some of my friends that can spend extra by working part time. I am easily satisfied like that. Still, the little typical confusion still troubles me once in a while as in what i want in the future. A life, that i wouldn't regret when i am old. I am realistic, that's the problem.

Anyway, holiday has been good. And i really can't wait for the perth trip. But before that i have to study real hard because last semester was a disaster. Gosh i have only a month before my 1st final!

And daylight saving begins! So it's now 3 hours earlier than M'sia.

Junlin is flying to Canada now. We have been friend for 10 years. She used to see me as elder sister since she is younger than me, but i feels the opposite especially these few years. After high school she studied so hard in college. and in University of Adelaide. Yes she didn't get scholarship and studying oversea means that her sister have to study in local uni. But she did amazingly in the past 2 years, having studying and working part-time at the same time. Now she is in a exchange program to Canada. I believe she will be great too. Best wishes to her.

I can't help but think of myself everytime i thought of her. Without scholarship what would i be? I will just be a ordinary local university student. Would i insist to go overseas? It was my dream afterall. Now that i am studying overseas, am i making enough effort? I have no answer.

This place now is a ski heaven where metres of snow covered the surface. My friend invited me to go for a ski trip but i am reluctant to spend 200+ in a thing i'm not interested in. Instead, i bought a ticket from Canberra to Perth. It's confirmed i am going to Perth at the end of the year! Finally i will be the postcard sender instead of postcard receiver haha!

I checked my BUSN3001 Accounting Theory course outline last night and nearly fell off my chair. So according to the course outline i am suppose to get 40% out of 60% of finals to pass the course, not to mention having to submit all 2 assignments. I know getting 40% is reasonable, especially for a scholar, but the problem is this course is nothing like the courses i previously had. They are no prescribed textbook, only a long but not exhaustive reading list with every article average 30 pages. The lecturer of the course taught BUSN1002 which i took the course last year, and he is kinda crappy, maybe because he is malaysian. Hah. Being in this top university in the world for 1.5 years i kinda expected this kind of course will come to me some time later in my 3rd year but definitely not this soon! The fact is, the last 1.5 years of me in the ANU i was pretty reliance on textbook and lecture notes. Now the time has arrived for me to truly study the subject by myself to develop understanding to the issues and concepts, and to establish my own perspectives to contemporary accounting issues, so to speak. Sigh. And I am taking macroeconomics 2 too, which means extra reading reading and reading. The other 2 subjects are ok, Management accounting and accounting information system. So i have no intention to work part time at all.

Ok enough. I am going back study and become a more nerdy scholar.

2 days before uni begins. Holiday is good at this point, went out every single day except weekend. Not much photos taken, so much foods eaten. I got to explore places around canberra and met new people.

Went to this award-winning place called old bus depot market. They sell all sorts of things like kinda like pasar malam. And some are hand-made stuffs i definitely like this place.

The closest laksa i can get here. They called it Laos laksa. Now you know they have laksa in Laos.

And also my 1st time to Telstra Tower at black mountain. Like Alor Setar Tower but we climbed up the mountain. See i exercise so mush during winter.

This is called the international flag display.

War memorial. They displayed Australia's participation in WW1 and WW2. Great place for history lover as it is interactive and informative and the building is magnificent.

I found that my instax camera is not really suitable for outdoor shooting under strong sunlight although i already adjusted it to the designed setting. Nevertheless, it works perfect indoor.

And i am starting to appreciate the cold weather. Last year's winter was like shit for me and it was especially cold and dry compared to another city. However this year my body is already get used to it and i kinda enjoyed it. I am easily adapted to the environment i guess. Not only the weather, but also the tranquility of the city. I never regret for choosing this city and i love being the person i am. I am happy.

We went there last weekend during evening, just go there jalan-jalan. A lot of ppl playing in the pools. The swimming pool is quite special, not the pool actually, but "sea". There are sands beneath the water... Wei Ryu was so excited, at first, she just 'stare' at the ppl playing inside the pool, don even dare to walked on the sands(there are sands surrounding the pool, like at the beach), and a few moments later, she started to say 'ai ai ai' while pointing to the pool... Hehe... Guess what happened?

Let her sit beside the pool to play water.... Luckily i did bring extra clothes for her to change...

No more uni life, cant sleep until 12pm... when i at uum, i always sleep until 12pm when i have no lec... time goes very fast, now is the 4th months for my training, and only left more 2 months.. everyday wake up around 7am, then go to working until 5pm, after come back from office, and take dinner, need to write my daily report, sometime every tired when come back from work .. even on sunday, i also cant sleep until 10am or 11am... haiz...

only left 2 months but i still didnt start doing my final report, izit every lazy ?? haha .. i promise to myself i will start do it on april... i already correct all the data, picture, and summaries out the detail what i need to do, just didnt start writing out..

last week i fever and less eating, only eat porridge, and now i recover already.. last few day i measure my weight, haha, no need diet also can keep fit, my weight drop from around 47kg or 48kg to 45kg...haha... surprise ???

Imagine me, who wake up everyday at 12 during summer holiday, now wake up at 7am every weekday. Then imagine me, watching tv everytime someone prepare dinner for me during the 3-months-holiday, do grocery shopping and cook every night, somemore bring lunchbox to uni. And don't play play, my lunch box is healthy and just like what you tapao at pekaka. Now you know how my life is now? No more outside foods ( at least twice each week last semester ), more time at the library, sleep before 1am, minimum junk food, newspaper everyday ( just flip through though, and proceed to last page for sudoku wtf ). OMG uni life turns me into such a good person. But i shops more now, clothes are stocking up, i spend more time on tv instead of internet ( which is a good thing for me, need to spend time with housemates also mah since they are so nice share food with me and driving me around ).

Played tennis the other day, really not my thing i prefer bigger ball ( like netball ). But i like pingpong though.

So kiamsiap now wouldn't even want to spend money to go to gym. $400 a year save it can get interest you know i think the $ can be better used in future see see i am not boros and impulsive anymore. Wouldn't sign up for iphone also $800 wanna direct it to my travel reserve muahahaha..

9am lecture tomorrow and i am still thinking about where am i gonna go this year.

I usually hate facebook test because they are stupid but this one really describe me the best. Except the part that i am graceful. While i was trying to understand myself for so many years i can't find words better than this. The bestest part ever is 太冷静了. I am constantly amazed by myself on how calm i can be when difficulties arise. I guess this is a good thing. Miss the bus? just wait for the next. Late for the lecture? Just listen to the recording. Lost someone important? Just find another one that cares about you. Because at last, I will be all by myself again.

Last night when i was lying on my bed trying to sleep, i thought of changing our blog's link. yeewenning is just too 'leong', so i am changing it. I am back at Canberra again, after more than one whole day of waiting and flying. Flying always make me tired; i remember i threw up during my first flight to Vietnam. But the feeling was completely different. Back then there's more excitement and hope. i sensed familiarity when the taxi passed the the parliament house. And also the sound when someone's stepping on the wooden floor. Dan and Gabby are as lovely as always. As tiredness hit me, i was unconscious for the next 16 hours. Next thing i know, i am getting used for the life here again. 125 hannan cr always have the magical power to cure me from anything. Sadness, loneliness, everything. Perhaps because of it's small and cozy space, or people with warm heart. Because of difference we care. We respect and we share. And i enjoy being the youngest among them; for they treat me just like a friend. I am glad that i found them here.

p/s: i promised that i'll cook them a meal. Now i have a problem.

Currently reading Jane Eyre. Classic english literature, there are many editions with different front cover. I quite like this cover. The quality of paper is good and size is perfect to put into bag. Plus it is cheap! It is cheaper than a second hand book in aussie. It is so long ago since i seriously sit/lie down to read a book other than textbook/magazine/newspaper. Shame on me i used to like reading so much. Spot the hairband? Bought it on the same day too wtf i am so childish. Not my style really but i like it.. And the love-shaped cushion, love it at first sight and shamelessly took it back from taman golf. Used to be ahma's massage cushion.

How's the new layout? Cost me 2 hours to make it. Btw, i still need a new banner to match the background. This time, it's you guys' time to show your talent.
